Your experience is stronger than your CV.
A job description asks for something you have done. Your CV mentions the technology, but leaves out the part that would explain why your work matters. A good question can help you put it on the page.
We built CV Interview for that moment. Open a vacancy on Sottava, bring your CV and answer a few questions about relevant work. You review the proposed additions, choose where they belong and download your full CV in PDF or Word.
The detail you forgot to write down
“Worked with Kafka” tells a reader which technology you encountered. It leaves them guessing about your responsibility, the system you worked on and its scale.
Worked with Kafka.
What did you personally own, and at what scale?
I owned the Kafka consumer processing about two million events per day.
Owned the Kafka consumer processing about two million events per day.
This is an illustrative example, not a customer result. The technology, responsibility, number and word “about” all come from the candidate’s answer. Your own CV may call for a different kind of detail, with no numbers at all.
Questions start with the vacancy
CV Interview compares the employer’s description with your CV and asks up to three focused questions. Each question shows the source requirement and, when available, the relevant passage from your CV. You can see what prompted it.
The question might be about a technical decision, an outcome, the scope of a project or your personal role in a team. A missing detail in your CV does not establish that you lack the skill. Your answer supplies the context.
You can skip a question or say you have not done something. If there is nothing useful to ask, the interview can go straight to review. It will not manufacture three gaps just to keep you answering.
You decide what the CV says
Your answer appears beside the proposed CV point. Edit it, leave it out or select it for inclusion. Choose the role or project it belongs to and the line after which it should appear. The full preview shows your original CV beside the version with your selected additions.
Check personal versus team responsibility, dates, technologies, units and approximate figures. AI can get wording or context wrong. Sottava does not independently verify your experience, and you approve the complete document before downloading it.
Your original profile CV stays in place. The downloadable version uses a clean, single-column layout and keeps the text in your CV’s language. Word export is available when you want to adjust the layout further. Some scripts may require Word rather than PDF to preserve every character.
Your next application starts with more context
Approved points are saved with their source answer and work context. When a later vacancy calls for relevant experience, Sottava can offer those facts for review. You choose whether they belong in that application too.
Your CV workspace is private to your account. You can remove reusable facts or delete all interview working copies from the CV Interview page. CV text and answers are processed through our AI provider as described in our privacy page.
