Terms & refunds
Plain terms for a small product. Using Sottava means agreeing to them.
Who you are dealing with
Sottava is a subscription web service operated by SD Software LLC, and reachable at support@sottava.com. Purchases are sold through Paddle, who act as merchant of record: the payment contract for the transaction is with them, and their buyer terms apply alongside this page.
What the service does
We read the public career systems that companies publish their openings in, once an hour, and show you what is new with the time it was first seen. On Pro we also draft an application letter for a specific posting, watch companies you add yourself, and send alerts.
Your account
One account is for one person. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, so keeping that mailbox secure is what keeps the account secure. Tell us if you think someone else has got in.
What you may not do
- Resell, republish or redistribute the feed, the scores or the letters.
- Share one account between several people.
- Automate the product to fire applications without reading them.
- Try to pull the data out in bulk, or to break the service for others.
About the letters
Letters are drafted by a language model from the posting and your résumé. They are a starting point, not a finished application: read every one, correct anything that is wrong, and send it yourself. What you send is yours, and you are responsible for it. We are not a party to your application and we make no promise about its outcome.
Availability
The collector runs hourly and we watch it, but company systems change, rate-limit and break. We do not promise that every opening reaches you, that it reaches you before anyone else, or that the service is available without interruption. When companies fail to answer a pass, we say so in the feed rather than showing you silence.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
Pro is $30 per month, charged in advance and renewing until cancelled. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT or sales tax where it applies; Paddle adds and remits it at checkout. Cancel in one click from your profile. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, and the free feed stays afterwards. Details are on the pricing page.
Refunds
Ask within 14 days of a payment and we refund it in full, with no conditions. Write to support@sottava.com or request it through Paddle. Cancelling is separate and works at any time: it stops future charges and Pro runs to the end of the period you paid for. The full policy is on the refund page.
Ending the account
You can stop at any time; ask us and we delete the account and its data. We may close an account that breaks the rules above, and if we do it without cause we refund the unused part of the period.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we write to the address on your account before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means the new terms apply.
