Compliance Intern

Employment: Contract We are looking for a 6-months internship from the 2 Nov 2026 - 30 Apr 2027 Location: Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Monthly allowance is provided Key Responsibility Review and verify documentation for corporate and individual clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements and ensure proper classification of customer rating Review and clear sanctions screenings, for potential PEP screenings, and adverse media screenings Liaise with internal stakeholders to address and update incomplete or inconsistent onboarding information in the company due diligence portal. Escalate high risk cases to the Compliance team Manager for further review and decision making Escalate potential hits for further investigation. Ensure screening procedures are aligned with AML/CFT requirements under company policy. Assist in maintaining and updating compliance-related policies, procedures, and records. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities to be assigned by your superiors. Requirements Final year student in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Corporate Governance, or a related field from University/Polytechnic. Basic understanding of AML/CFT guidelines, Know Your Customer (KYC) / Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedures, and regulatory frameworks in Malaysia. Detail-oriented with analytical, research, and data verification skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders. High level of integrity, a strong sense of confidentiality, and the ability to work responsibly under supervision. Able to commit to a full-time internship.
