Customer Project Manager - European Space (m/f/x)

Schedule: full-time Employment: permanent Years of experience: 5-7 Your way into the future Join us as a Customer Project Manager (m/f/x) and support our Project Leads in delivering European space programs, institutional and commercial customers. As the key interface between customers and internal teams, you align customer expectations with project realities and ensure commitments are communicated clearly throughout the project lifecycle. What awaits you at Mynaric Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned customers and manage expectations on scope, timelines, risks and status. Prepare and lead customer milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR, including review documentation and follow-up of customer actions. Support our technical Project Leads with schedules, risk registers and action logs, and make customer-impacting risks visible early. Create and own customer-facing documents such as the Project Management Plan and the Design, Development and Verification Plan in line with ECSS. Tailor ECSS requirements pragmatically to what a scale-up company can deliver, and align this approach with the customer. Track contractual deliverables, acceptance criteria and milestone payments including Contract Management with Finance, and manage changes, deviations and waivers. Coordinate customer-relevant activities during build, test and delivery with Production, Test Engineering, Quality and Logistics. Handle demanding customer situations with confidence and keep reporting, decisions and commitments clearly documented. What you bring with you 3-7 years of experience in customer project management, program coordination or account delivery in space, aerospace, defence or a comparable high-tech industry. Hands-on experience applying and tailoring ECSS or comparable space standards in projects for ESA or other European space customers.  Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, including the technical curiosity to get into complex topics quickly Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications. Experience in bridging established space processes and the realities of a dynamic company. Startup or scale-up experience is a plus. Excellent customer communication and the ability to find good solutions with demanding customers in negotiations. Skill in building trusted relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Clear and engaging presentation and reporting skills for customers and management.
