The posting, as the company wrote it
Employment: Full-time
Experience: Director
Atria is a membership-based preventive health care practice delivering cutting-edge primary and specialty care in New York, South Florida, Los Angeles (2026), and through 24/7 telemedicine globally.
Our multi-specialty team of 60+ top in-house physicians provides proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. We aim to optimize lifespan and healthspan through meticulous screening, leading-edge therapeutics, and tailored interventions designed to prevent disease and detect it at the earliest possible stages.
Each member's care is led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer who collaborates with specialists in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, women's health, endocrinology, integrative health, performance and movement, nutrition, and more.
Through our nonprofit Atria Research Institute and Public Health Institute, we also work to accelerate the translation of medical breakthroughs and expand access to preventive care for as many people as possible.
About this role:
You will lead Product Engineering, the three teams that build everything our members, clinicians and care teams use:
Member Experience: registration, the member portal and the mobile app
Clinical Experience: the patient dashboard, results and clinical AI
Care Delivery: scheduling, the care calendar and clinician task management
The role is hands-on: you will work fluently in the AI-assisted workflows our engineers use every day to generate, review, and deploy code.
Tech Stack
Languages: TypeScript
Backend: Node, Express
Frontend: React, Honeypot SDK
Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, Terraform
Database: MySQL (migrating to Postgres)
Tooling & Integrations: Github, Sentry, Okta, Mixpanel, Omni, third-party APIs
Key Responsibilities
Product & Delivery
Lead the Member Experience, Clinical Experience and Care Delivery squads, and own their delivery: plans, priorities and predictable shipping at a high quality bar.
Work with Product, Design and clinical leaders to turn unclear problems into clear technical plans and roadmaps.
Drive system design for the core product areas that keep the platform reliable, HIPAA-compliant, and speed up future work.
Stay hands-on: write, review and ship code using the AI-assisted workflows the team uses every day.
Quality, Observability & Analytics
Set testing and code-review standards across Product Engineering, including how AI-generated code is reviewed and governed.
Make sure features ship with consistent observability (Mixpanel, Datadog, Sentry)
Run post-incident reviews and follow through on the fixes they turn up.
Teamwork, Mentorship & Culture
Hire, coach and manage the performance of engineers and tech leads in NYC and on the distributed team.
Set and uphold engineering standards: coding conventions, architecture patterns and documentation.
Build a practical, product-focused culture that balances high standards with fast, iterative delivery.
Requirements
7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ managing engineers
A track record of leading product teams that shipped predictably at a high quality bar.
Technically strong across the stack (backend, web, mobile)
Strong product judgment, and direct, clear communication.
Experience leading distributed teams.
You use AI coding tools daily and have a view on how to govern them.
Nice to have: experience in healthcare or another regulated domain (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST), EHR integrations, or shipping LLM features to production.
