External Consulting Specialist

Employment: Full-time Experience level: Mid-Senior Level Job Description As part of Tieto's Sourcing Excellence & Operations organization, the External Consulting Operations Hub manages the sourcing, onboarding, administration, compliance, and lifecycle management of external consultants across multiple countries. The team works closely with business leaders, project managers, suppliers, and sourcing professionals to ensure that the right external expertise is available to support our customers and projects. Our team supports a global external workforce of more than 1,000 consultants and plays a key role in enabling business growth through efficient and compliant external resourcing.  As an External Consulting Specialist, you will work in an international team responsible for supplier management, consultant sourcing, negotiations, external workforce compliance, contract administration, financial processes, and operational support throughout the consultant lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external consultants. Source and identify suitable consultants for business and project needs. Negotiate consultant rates, commercial terms, and assignment conditions. Manage consultant onboarding, extensions, changes, and offboarding activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, agreements, and local legislation. Maintain accurate data in company systems and support financial administration processes. Support supplier relationship management and contribute to continuous process improvements. Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner. Why Join Us? You are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing several activities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You have strong communication and negotiation skills, enjoy building relationships, and are motivated by finding practical and cost-effective solutions. Experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management, staffing, HR operations, or other administrative functions related to external workforce management is considered an advantage. Ability to work according to defined processes and compliance requirements. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team. Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new tools and processes. Fluent English, both written and spoken.
