At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer to join our team in Brasil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovative, transformative, and multicultural environment. Position Overview: As a Senior Java Developer, you will lead the design and development of a scalable cloud-based solution, employing Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with client expectations. Your role will be pivotal in driving collaboration, innovation, and transformation, as we harness the power of AI to revolutionize our projects. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and technical solutions. Maintain and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability. Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of learning. Implement best practices in Agile and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Ensure the integration of RESTful APIs within microservice architectures. Engage actively in code reviews and contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes. Required Skills and Qualifications: Must-have Skills: 5+ years of experience as a developer working on large, distributed systems. 8+ years of development experience in any language, with the last 4 years focused on Java for server-side applications. Expert in Core Java 1.8 and above. Proficient with Spring, Spring Boot, and development of RESTful/JSON web services in a micro-service architecture. Demonstrable proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, and Assert-J. Strong experience with messaging frameworks such as JMS and ActiveMQ. Proficient in Git and familiar with continuous integration systems like Jenkins and GitHub. Comfortable working with relational and NoSQL databases, and proficient in database access using Spring JDBC template, JPA, and Hibernate. High-level understanding of in-memory distributed data storage systems like memcache and Hazelcast. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A strong desire to solve complex problems and learn new technologies. Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field. Nice-to-have Skills: Experience with cloud deployments, preferably Azure. Familiarity with build tools like Maven and using IntelliJ IDE. Understanding of profiling tools and ability to evaluate third-party libraries. Experience with international software development considerations (multi-lingual, multi-currency).
