The posting, as the company wrote it
Quadric is redefining edge AI with the industry's first General Purpose Neural Processing Unit (GPNPU), enabling developers to run both neural network inference and conventional C++ code on a single programmable architecture. Our technology powers intelligent edge devices across automotive, industrial, robotics, and embedded systems.
Founded in 2016 and based in downtown Burlingame, California, Quadric is building the world's first supercomputer designed for the real-time needs of edge devices. Quadric aims to empower developers in every industry with superpowers to create tomorrow's technology, today. The company was co-founded by technologists from MIT and Carnegie Mellon, who were previously the technical co-founders of the Bitcoin computing company 21.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Quadric is seeking a highly organized and efficient Office Manager to join our team. You'll be the first face visitors see and the first voice they hear, so bringing warmth and professionalism to every interaction is a must. Day-to-day, you'll wrangle calendars, manage incoming mail and packages, coordinate with vendors, keep the office stocked and running smoothly, and generally be the person everyone turns to when they need something done. You'll also support the broader team with administrative tasks, event planning, and whatever curveballs a busy office tends to throw. You will play a key role in creating a positive and productive work environment for our employees and you care deeply about those experiences.
You thrive on keeping things organized in environments where no two days look the same. You're proactive — you notice the paper tray is almost empty before it becomes a crisis. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoy making people feel welcome. Bonus points if you have a sixth sense for when the conference room is about to double-book.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You keep the engine running — manage office needs (including IT/AV issues), scheduling exec meetings, lunch deliveries (Forkable), and travel arrangements for staff; managing office calendars and wrangling the inevitable conference room swap; and handling all incoming and outgoing mail, shipping, and package receiving.
- You'll own office supplies and equipment inventory — tracking what we have, restocking before we run out, and making sure everything stays in working order. When something needs fixing or the facilities need attention, you'll be the liaison with building management, vendors, and service providers.
- All things fun — you'll also plan, budget for, and execute team-building events, lunch & learns, happy hours, and customer events that people actually look forward to. And when new teammates join, you'll partner with the People team on onboarding — setting up workstations, office desk layouts as we scale, leading office orientations, equipment inventory, and making sure day one feels like a great start.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of workplace and/or administrative experience
- Available to be in our Burlingame, CA office 5 days a week starting at 9am
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff, candidates, visitors, and vendors.
- Proficiency in Technology and AI savvy (including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Claude/Codex, etc)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Nice to haves: IT & AV expertise/networking knowledge
