ABOUT VIKTOR
Viktor is the AI teammate. He lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connects to thousands of tools, and does real work for real companies: finance, marketing, ops, engineering. We're building the product that replaces half the SaaS stack.
The team is small. The scope is not.
THE SHORT VERSION
You own the legal, entity and compliance side of employing people at Viktor, across Poland, Germany, the US and Ireland. It's a legal and compliance operator seat that happens to work on people: you own the rules and the paperwork, and People Experience owns each person's journey. You report to Paweł Siuciak, our Head of Operations.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
- Keep us compliant in every country: contract types, mandatory documents, registrations, working-time and leave rules, payroll inputs and deadlines.
- Issue and amend contracts, run Deel and our EOR relationships, and keep people records complete and correct.
- Own the legal side of visas and permits with immigration providers.
- Handle exits, disputes and terminations under the right country's law with counsel, and run offboarding compliance.
- Build the levelling framework, run the performance cycle, and keep policies current and clear.
HOW YOU'LL KNOW IT'S WORKING
By day 90:
- A compliance map for every entity and country, with the gaps closed or scheduled.
- Every employee and contractor record complete and audited.
- An exit playbook per country, used on every leaver.
- A US and Ireland visa and permit process agreed with a provider.
- Levelling framework v1 agreed and the first performance cycle scheduled.
WHO YOU ARE
- You learn a rulebook fast and turn it into a guide people actually follow.
- When the rules are unclear or conflicting, you do the groundwork and bring a recommendation.
- You say "not like this" to a manager or founder when something is a risk, then get the compliant alternative done.
- You own things to done and keep records clean.
- Strong written English, and you use AI tools in your work.
No people-ops track record needed: law, compliance or startup ops all work. What matters is how you handle rules, risk and messy reality.
PROBABLY NOT A FIT IF
- You see the job as processing forms and requests, with no view on risk.
- Your people background is recruiting, and you've never owned the rules.
- You'd write a 20-page handbook before fixing the contract that's wrong.
- You wait for others to decide, or flag a risk and never close the loop.
EVEN BETTER IF
- Employment, immigration or corporate law exposure.
- Work across more than one jurisdiction, entity or EOR.
- Audit exposure (SOC 2, GDPR, financial audit).
- Startup or scale-up experience.
- Polish (helpful, not required).
THE HARD PART
Four jurisdictions with conflicting rules, 5 to 10 joiners a month, and a team that moves faster than paperwork. No senior People person sits above you: Paweł sets direction and counsel backs you up.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
You build this from close to zero, with real say in decisions like how we set up Dublin, and you lead the Operations (People) function as we grow from about 50 people past 100.
HOW WE WORK
Small team, high trust, low process. Decisions are made by owners, not committees. You will ship your first week. You will talk to users your first day.
We don't do alignment meetings or stakeholder syncs. We build things, see if they work, and iterate.
WHY VIKTOR
We're one of the fastest-growing companies in the world. The product works. The market is pulling.
This is a rare window: everyone here owns something real. Not a task. A surface of the company that customers depend on.
That doesn't last forever. Right now, it's still true.
COMPENSATION
Top-of-the-market salary and the kind of ownership that only exists at this stage.
The best work happens when you're in the room. Munich, New York, Dublin, and Warsaw. Remote for some roles.
Why this page exists
We read companies’ own hiring systems every hour, 1,769 of them, and show a job the hour it opens instead of when a job board gets around to indexing it. We had it within the hour it went up.
The feed is free. No card, no trial to expire.
