The posting, as the company wrote it
Fuse is an AI-first energy company on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.
We’ve raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.
We’re building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.
As part of this mission, we are looking for a Paralegal to join our London team. You will play a key role in supporting our legal team across commercial, corporate, and regulatory workstreams as we expand rapidly across multiple jurisdictions. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious startup at the forefront of the energy transition and help build the legal foundations of a new kind of energy company.
Responsibilities
Support deal flow: Assist with reviewing, drafting, and preparing MSAs, product order forms, and supplier/customer/technology agreements. Prepare first drafts and mark-ups, track negotiation points, and flag risks to the Legal Counsel early.
Support product launches: Research legal and regulatory requirements for new product lines and summarise them into clear guidance. Help review product designs and documentation to ensure they are launch-ready and compliant.
Work with the business: Be the first point of contact for day-to-day legal queries from Operations, Finance, Trading, and Product. Handle straightforward requests directly and escalate complex issues to the right person.
Support compliance: Assist with UK and cross-border compliance, prepare and coordinate filings and regulatory submissions, and maintain policies, registers, and training records so everything is inspection-ready without roadblocking the business.
Help build scalable infrastructure: Maintain and improve templates, clause libraries, playbooks, and best practices. Keep contract and document records organised, and help streamline workflows and automate routine tasks so the team can focus on high-impact work.
