We’re an award-winning consultancy known for delivering exceptional products and services through technology. We work closely with organisations to help them accelerate value delivery and create outstanding customer experiences. Our purpose is simple: to empower organisations to make a real difference for people, society, and the planet through technology that’s efficient, user-friendly, and solves problems fast.
At Burendo, we believe that together, we can achieve incredible things.
What sets us apart is how we work. We pride ourselves on having a pragmatic attitude to delivery—we think big, plan practically, adapt quickly, and always focus on results, no matter how complex the challenge. We’re passionate about making great things happen by embracing innovation, challenging the status quo, and fostering collaboration at every step. At Burendo, caring for people is at the heart of what we do. We value partnerships, listen to different viewpoints, and believe in treating everyone fairly. And, we love to share what we learn—using our expertise to help others grow and empowering organisations to succeed in the long term.
We’ve got some exciting new projects kicking off here at Burendo, and we’re looking for a Principal Product Consultant to help us make them a success. You’ll be the senior voice on the account, setting direction and helping our clients and teams do great things.
Requirements
As Principal Product Consultant, you will:
Lead the development and evolution of client digital products and platforms as Burendo’s senior representative on the account
Set the strategic direction for product portfolios and programmes, aligning them to organisational objectives, customer needs and measurable outcomes
Manage roadmaps, investment priorities and resourcing, with clear, data-driven portfolio reporting for senior stakeholders
Act as a trusted advisor at C-suite level, influencing complex product and technology decisions
Embed modern product management practices and champion Agile and product thinking, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Support wider organisational transformation, shaping operating models, governance and ways of working to enable product-led organisations
Mentor and develop product and delivery professionals, building capability within the Burendo practice
What we value most
We can teach skills, but our behaviours forge the culture we strive for.
A passion for product and a desire to keep learning
Pragmatism, with a focus on outcomes over output and no unnecessary “gold-plating”
A good communicator who shares our values of openness and respect
A delivery mindset: you don’t hand strategy over the fence, and you stay involved until value reaches the customer
A desire to build others up and see them succeed, rather than wanting to be the Hero
Confidence to act as a trusted authority, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategy
The must haves
Burendo is invested in your growth, with a healthy self-development budget to use in any area you choose.
Consultancy experience
Experience at Principal or an equivalent senior consultancy level
A track record of leading large-scale transformations or digital product programmes
Experience leading both Agile and waterfall delivery
Experience engaging C-suite stakeholders and translating business goals into product outcomes
Working knowledge of software development lifecycles, cloud architectures and modern engineering practices
It would be great if you have
Experience defining product metrics at portfolio level
Experience working in the public sector or healthcare
Involvement in community building via blogs, meetups or similar
Don’t tick every box? Still give us a shout.
