Product Owner (m/f/d) - Backup & Compliance

For our location in San Gwann (Malta)  we are looking for a motivated  Product Owner (m/f/d)  for 40 hours/week to start immediately or as soon as possible. Your Job You will be a part of a multi-national product management team and help build products in our backup and GRC suite, as well as internal tools. You are responsible for collaborating closely with product managers to understand the product scope and objectives that must be achieved. You will be a conduit of information and will be the interface between the product management team and the product development centre (PDC) teams. You are responsible to define how to reach designated business and product objectives by writing detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. You will Ideate, visualize, create wireframe, and  use AI coding tools such as Codex or Claude Code to build lightweight tools, test harnesses, and feature prototypes that accelerate discovery and validate product ideas. You will define the features needed to reach objectives in close collaboration with product managers as well as PDC team leads in line with the product strategy. You collaborate with UX/UI designers to create delightful user experiences, and obtain detailed product mockups You will be responsible for the assigned product backlog, as well as to track feature requests. You will perform user acceptance testing and review developed features based on the defined acceptance criteria to reach and accept product shipping criteria. You support the product development team as necessary to reach the desired goals. Your Profile You are experienced in   as a Product Owner for B2B or B2C software, or have multiple years of experience in technical support, service desk,   software development,   or have considerable knowledge and passion for product and technology. You have a degree in computer science, completed education, or comparable knowledge in the technical area. You are  a proficient with AI coding tools, can turn product needs into effective prompts and working prototypes, and can critically assess the results. You are passionate about product design, product lifecycle, and user experience. You are an avid problem solver and are quick on your feet. Breaking down complex problems and tackling them logically. You are a highly organized and structured person. You chase your own deadlines and provide updates upfront. You can justify and present both technical and functional decisions or instances, to   discuss with developers on an equal footing and to show your creativity when developing new solutions   in a transparent and goal-oriented manner. You are self-motivated, a great team player, but can also take responsibility and work independently with minimal supervision. You are a quick-learner and are keen to expose yourself to new technologies and ideas. You are proficient in document structuring, can work under pressure on concurrent projects, and comfortable respecting deadlines. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Would be a plus: You have two or more years of experience working with SaaS products.
