More about the role & team We are hiring for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a major platform transformation. You’ll join a team modernising a core solution, moving from a legacy environment to a cloud first architecture on Azure. This role is focused on building and scaling the platform that underpins our applications. You’ll design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, deliver infrastructure as code, and enable developers to deploy and operate systems more efficiently and reliably. You’ll work closely with engineering teams, but your primary focus will be on automation, infrastructure, and deployment processes, rather than building product features. You’ll be joining at a point where the DevOps foundations are still evolving, so there is real opportunity to shape standards, tooling, and ways of working. Why should you apply? Essential requirements Experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform essential) Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS also considered) Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) Scripting or coding experience (Python, PowerShell or similar) Understanding of security, compliance, and deployment practices Comfortable working across infrastructure and development teams Desirable requirements Experience supporting .NET or web based applications Exposure to hybrid or enterprise environments (cloud and on-prem) Experience with release strategies such as blue green or canary deployments Exposure to financial services or data platforms Experience with modern cloud architecture patterns What do we offer?
