Senior Finance Operations Technical specialist

Employment: Full-time Experience level: Mid-Senior Level Job Description We are looking for a Senior Finance Operations Technical Specialist to join our Finance Operations team. In this role, you will work at the intersection of Finance and technology, supporting the applications and technical processes used by our Finance organisation. A key part of the role will be working with Control-M and developing strong knowledge of Oracle ERP, while providing second-level technical support for Finance applications.   With us you will be responsible to: Providing 2nd - level technical support for applications used across Finance Operations. Supporting and maintaining Control-M, including job/request scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting and data maintenance. Investigating technical issues and identifying root causes before escalating them to 3rd-level support when required. Developing strong knowledge of Oracle ERP and supporting accountants and Finance users with system-related issues. Cooperating closely with accountants, Finance process experts, application owners, IT teams and third-level technical support. Coordinating and following up technical incidents until resolution, while keeping users informed. Supporting testing of system changes, fixes and new functionality. Identifying recurring problems and proposing improvements or automation opportunities. Creating and maintaining technical instructions, support documentation and knowledge articles. Qualifications Strong interest in technology, applications and problem solving. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to investigate issues systematically. Willingness and ability to learn Control-M, Oracle ERP and Finance processes. General understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, databases or scheduled/batch processes. Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical users. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Service-minded attitude and willingness to take ownership of issues. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and follow problems through to resolution. Curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset. It would be an advantage if you have: Previous experience with Control-M or another workload automation/job scheduling solution. Experience with Oracle ERP. Basic knowledge of SQL or experience investigating application/database issues. Experience in application support, IT support or 2nd-level support. Understanding of Finance processes such as accounting, invoicing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or project accounting.
