Employment: Full-time
Destinus Engineering is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to ensure that our defense systems and products perform dependably in demanding operational environments. You’ll lead reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) efforts across Destinus systems and products covering the full product lifecycle, from early design trade studies through qualification, fielding, and sustainment. You will work closely with system design, test, and supply chain teams as well as customers. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with good social and leadership skills to continuously coordinate with the peers of the respective engineering disciplines and teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute reliability program plans in line with contract requirements and applicable standards (e.g., MIL-STD-785, MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-1629, IEC 60812, FIDES, ANSI/GEIA-STD-0009, ASD S3000L or customer-specific equivalents)
· Perform reliability predictions, FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis, derating and worst-case analyses, and reliability block diagram modeling
· Define and run reliability test programs, including HALT/HASS, environmental stress screening, accelerated life testing, and reliability growth testing
· Contribute to design reviews (PDR, CDR) and influence design for reliability and maintainability early in development
· Support sustainment engineering, including obsolescence and parts-quality assessments, and supplier reliability oversight
· Prepare reliability documentation and present findings to internal leadership and government customers
· Availability modelling and allocating RAM requirements down from the system to subsystems
· Maintainability analysis plus testability and BIT coverage analysis
· Input to the maintenance and logistic support analysis, working with ILS
Requirements
Required Qualifications
· BSc or MSc in engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems, or related)
· [7+] years of reliability engineering experience preferably in the defense sector
· Experience in a tier 1 defense supplier company interacting directly with the military customer is a plus
· Hands-on experience with FMEA/FMECA, reliability prediction, and statistical life data analysis
· Experience with Air Defence and / or Strike systems is a plus
· Experience with modern European RAM standards: IEC 60812, FIDES, ANSI/GEIA-STD-0009, ASD S3000L
· Familiarity with military reliability and environmental standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461) and DoD acquisition or equivalent processes
· Experience using RWB Isograph or similar RAMS software.
· Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced, dynamic, international and multidisciplinary development team.
· Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.
