Senior Site Reliability Engineer

At the core of the role We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong hands-on experience in Akamai and platform engineering . You’ll focus on building and operating secure, reliable and high-performing infrastructure across CDN, WAF, DNS and edge security, while driving automation and SRE best practices. You’ll work closely with development, infrastructure and security professionals to improve platform reliability, performance, security and operational efficiency. Core skills you’ll bring Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and/or Platform Engineering Hands-on experience with Akamai CDN, WAF, DNS and Edge Security Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience Experience with CI/CD, GitOps and Kubernetes Experience with Azure and/or AWS Automation or development skills in C#, .NET, Go, Python, PowerShell or JavaScript Strong knowledge of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, monitoring and observability Nice-to-have Experience with Akamai Property Manager, Application & API Protector, Bot Manager, EdgeWorkers or GTM Experience with Akamai APIs and platform automation Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets and capacity planning Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins The impact you'll create Design and manage Akamai CDN, WAF, DNS and Edge Security solutions Optimize security policies, traffic routing, caching, bot protection and certificate management Automate infrastructure and platform operations using Terraform, IaC and APIs Build and maintain monitoring, alerting and CI/CD solutions Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis Improve platform reliability, performance, availability and security  What supports your journey Collaboration with experienced engineering, infrastructure and security professionals Exposure to modern SRE, cloud, automation and edge technologies Opportunities to contribute to platform improvements and technical initiatives An environment that supports continuous learning and professional growth People are at the core of Avenga.
