Why Box needs you: The Box Objects team builds the authorization platform. When someone views, edits, or shares content, a policy decision is made against roles and attributes — we own the service that makes it, correctly and in milliseconds, at enormous scale. We're a newly formed team building for other engineers: the APIs, policy models, and primitives product teams across the company rely on to ship access control they can trust. Who you are: 5+ years of professional software development experience Be proficient in Java Interest in security topics (authentication, identity, industry best practices, etc.) Experience building and operating high-scale, business-critical production services Assess, communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time sensitive manner Must speak English proficiently Nice to have: Scala, PHP, Python, JavaScript or other modern software development language Practical experience working with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Kubernetes What you'll do: Attend and engage in stand ups and maintain sprint task statuses in issue tracking tool daily Attend team, project, and manager 1:1 meetings weekly Collaborate with Product Management to help refine requirements and break down complex projects into meaningful, deliverable units Work collaboratively with other engineers, team members, across teams, and with partner organizations Respond to technical and behavioral feedback from manager and peers Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture Represent Box Poland internally and externalls Participate in the production on-call rotation with the team members Methodology Agile management - Scrum Issue tracking tool -Jira Knowledge repository - GitHubEnterprise Code reviews - GitHubEntreprise Version control system - GIT BENEFITS Check out the overview of Life at Box which include general perks and benefits.
