The Role
At Candid Health, we’re searching for a Platform Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive operational strategy alongside engineering and product leadership. As a dedicated partner embedded within our Platform Engineering team, you will own the team's long-term roadmap and operational cadence rather than bouncing between short-term projects. Your mission is to translate complex, multi-team dependencies into clear execution plans—maximizing engineering velocity and ensuring our infrastructure scales as fast as our business.
This is an opportunity to get in at the ground floor of designing a world-class operational engine alongside top-tier talent in a highly collaborative, data-informed environment.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Platform Engineering, Product Management, and Delivery leaders to translate long-term product strategy and technical architecture into actionable, shared roadmaps.
- Orchestrate Complex Technical Launches: Lead the end-to-end planning and risk management for critical platform initiatives—such as major cloud migrations, framework upgrades, or API changes—ensuring seamless rollouts with zero operational disruption.
- Bridge Internal Systems & External Interfaces: Bring order to chaos by aligning internal metric tracking (OKRs, KPIs) with external platform touchpoints, smoothly coordinating how we roll out infrastructure changes to both internal teams and external customer IT partners.
- Standardize Delivery Frameworks: Establish lightweight, highly effective operational processes across the department. Optimize project management tools (e.g., Jira, Linear), eliminate structural bottlenecks, and create clear visibility into project health for stakeholders.
Who You Are (Required Qualifications)
- An Experienced Program Leader: You bring 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional technical programs within a fast-growing B2B SaaS or platform ecosystem-including a sustained stretch (2+ years) as the ongoing, embedded TPM for a single platform or infrastructure team.
- A Chaos Coordinator: You have a proven track record of managing multi-team technical rollouts—such as system-wide migrations, access management updates, or core developer tool implementations—from concept to completion.
- Operational Architect: You possess well-developed philosophies on what great execution looks like, knowing how to balance process with speed, and how to measure organizational velocity effectively.
- Data-Informed Problem Solver: You are highly data-literate and love using numbers to tell a story. You are comfortable writing SQL or leveraging modern AI productivity tools to track metrics, diagnose roadblocks, and automate status tracking.
- An Exceptional Translator: You are a clear, empathetic communicator who can effortlessly bridge the gap between deeply technical infrastructure concepts and business-facing teams, executives, or client IT departments.
