Business Intelligence Engineer (Junior)

Employment: Full-time Experience level: Entry Level Job Description WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON​ What you will focus on As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you’ll own the telemetry and reporting foundation that the studio relies on to make data-driven decisions. You’ll work at the intersection of raw event data, analytics, and business reporting - making sure our data is clean, consistent, and trustworthy. The key challenge is to build a scalable tracking architecture while maintaining high data quality and reliable dashboards across the studio. What it means on a daily basis​ Own and improve the telemetry structure by defining events, IDs, parameters, and tracking standards across features. Validate and monitor telemetry data in BigQuery, identifying and resolving data quality issues before they impact analysis. Write, review, and optimize SQL queries to ensure KPIs and business metrics are calculated accurately. Maintain and improve dashboards across Metabase and Looker, ensuring consistent reporting and resolving issues caused by data or schema changes. Automate data processing and integrate data from multiple sources using Python and/or Node.js. Who you would be working with​ Data & BI teams – working together to maintain data quality, reporting standards, and a unified analytics workflow. Game/Product teams – collaborating on telemetry requirements and tracking implementation across features. Technical teams – coordinating on data architecture, schemas, integrations, and technical changes that may impact reporting. Your recruitment journey Screening Call Test (48 hours) Interview Qualifications WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED​ SQL skills with hands-on experience in Google BigQuery . High proficiency in Metabase and Looker , or comparable BI and visualization tools. Knowledge of database architecture and data modeling, including schema design, data warehousing, and normalization/denormalization. Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js for scripting, automation, and data processing. Experience collecting data from multiple sources and cleaning, transforming, and integrating it into a unified database. Strong understanding of data quality, telemetry/tracking, and dashboard governance. WHO YOU ARE Highly detail-oriented and genuinely care about data accuracy and consistency. Structured and systematic, with strong documentation habits. Proactive in identifying data issues and solving them before they impact stakeholders. Strong ownership mindset - you take responsibility for the quality and reliability of the systems you manage.
