INTERNAL Expert Stability Test Engineer (all genders)

Schedule: full-time Employment: permanent Years of experience: 5-7 Your Mission We are looking for an Expert Stability Test Engineer to ensure the reliability, robustness and stability of automotive software systems throughout integration and system verification. You will independently own stability testing activities for assigned projects, develop and maintain automated test solutions, analyze complex system issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and testing efficiency throughout the product lifecycle. Sneak preview of your future tasks Plan, coordinate and execute stability, endurance, stress and long-running test campaigns for automotive software systems. Develop, maintain and continuously improve automated stability tests, test frameworks and laboratory infrastructure using Python, Shell scripting and automotive test automation tools. Analyze complex software, hardware and system failures, perform root cause analysis, reproduce defects and validate corrective actions. Prepare, execute and report stability test campaigns, including software flashing, ECU configuration, diagnostics and maintenance of Windows- and Linux-based test environments. Drive continuous improvements in test automation, test reliability, execution efficiency and defect detection capability by optimizing testing methodologies and engineering processes. Act as the technical focal point for stability testing by communicating quality status, risks and test results to project stakeholders, coordinating with development teams and external partners, and providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Your Profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Automotive Engineering or a related technical discipline. Several years of professional experience in software testing, system validation or quality engineering within embedded or automotive software development. Proven experience in stability, reliability, integration or system verification testing. Strong experience with Python and test automation. Experience working with Linux, including command line, file systems and scripting. Practical experience with automotive testing tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, Wireshark and DLT Logging . Experience with ETFW APC Test Automation Suite (Teedi, ACP/ACT Add-ons) and Nexus AE Package . Experience maintaining automated test environments, laboratory infrastructure and Windows/Linux test systems. Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills. Fluent English; German is an advantage. Preferred Qualifications Experience with automotive infotainment, digital cockpit or connected vehicle systems. Knowledge of ECU flashing, diagnostics and variant coding. Experience with Embedded Linux, Android Automotive OS or QNX. Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet and SOME/IP . Experience with Git, Jira and Confluence. Experience with Frame Grabbing, Touch Simulation, Image Processing, Audio Processing and DLT/Ethernet/CAN logging. Knowledge of soldering, wiring, CAD and 3D printing for hardware test environments. ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification is an advantage. Why us?
