INTERNAL Principal System Responsible (all genders) for Phone, Device Manager, and Protection Technologies

Schedule: full-time Employment: permanent Years of experience: 10-15 Your Mission The Phone domain within the Gen20x project develops technologies for telephony and the integration of end users’ devices. The team is looking for an experienced professional who will be responsible for ensuring high-quality requirements engineering and documentation within the Phone domain. This role requires a holistic view of the development process, including defining, positioning, and validating requirements within the overall system context. Sneak preview of your future tasks Drive end-to-end requirements engineering and ensure traceability , including gathering inputs from FO/BO/Test Lead, creating and maintaining system requirements (SLH), and deriving system requirements from system needs. Define system scope, functions, and architecture , including defining customer and system functions, deriving system functions, defining system boundaries across mechanics, E/E, and software , and contributing to system architecture and component mapping. Coordinate cross-functional system integration and stakeholder alignment , including managing contributions from all involved departments, aligning stakeholders, and integrating regulatory requirements and customer function impact chains. Manage system specifications , configurations, and changes , including creating SLH specifications, defining system configurations (variants/versions), planning feature rollout timelines, and controlling change processes. Plan and execute system verification and validation activities , including defining test concepts and SVP, ensuring requirement coverage, reviewing test results, and conducting maturity assessments and root-cause analysis . Ensure safety, risk management, and system release readiness , including conducting hazard and risk analysis, supporting compliance, and ensuring system release readiness based on SVP&R according to applicable processes. Your Profile Education:  Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Technology, or a comparable qualification Experience:  15+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering and development Experience in embedded systems Valid driver’s license permitting driving in Germany (Class B) F2 and HV2 certification Nice to have:  Experience with in-vehicle infotainment systems Experience with ASPICE Good understanding of telephony, Device Manager, CarPlay, and Android Auto functionalities, with the ability to analyze and structure requirements.   Personal skills:  Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment High level of personal initiative, commitment, perseverance, and resilience Well-developed communication and teamwork skills Ability to build strong networks across adjacent system teams, series representatives, and project stakeholders. Language skills:  Professionalproficiencyin English; German is a plus. Additional information:  This position  may require  travel within Germany .
