INTERNAL Senior Software Engineer – FRPA (all genders)

Schedule: full-time Employment: permanent Years of experience: 5-7 Your Mission As a Software Engineer in the FRPA team you will: Take ownership of customer/production line issues reported and coordinate problems solving through to resolution Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues Prepare custom builds and extract more logs for the analysis Develop test scripts based on python test frameworks to speed up the analysis Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers Ensure proper recording and closure of all issues  Prepare accurate and timely reports  Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles Follow the SLA for issues with respect to the severity Your Profile Education Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology or a comparable qualification Experience  Extensive hands-on experience in embedded software development/integration for automotive  Deeper knowledge of in-car communication including CAN and SOME/IP Basic knowledge about AUTOSAR classic/adaptive Fluency in car diagnostics with off-the-shelf tools Experience running samples in test environment (car / bench) Deeper knowledge about Linux configuration including systemd Basic knowledge about QNX configuration Fluency in using QNX / Linux commands for analyzing the system Coding experience in Python, C, C++ Nice to have Deeper knowledge of Ethernet communication protocols Experience with Debugging on MC level Experience with Yocto build system Development experience in modern Linux systems including shell scripts Experience with additional analysis tools for Linux / QNX Development experience with QNX Development / integration experience with AUTOSAR classic and/or adaptive Experience with automation frameworks Experience with CI/CD Personal skills     Quick understanding of complex systems Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Personal initiative, commitment, perseverance and resilience Well-developed communication and teamwork skills Aspiration to engineering excellence Language skills     Proficient in English, German is a plus!
