A DAY IN LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
Execute Cargo Handling Procedures: Perform daily tasks related to receiving, sorting, and prepping cargo for flight, ensuring all physical movements align with system requirements.
Monitor Ground Performance: Track the loading and unloading of shipments in real-time, flagging any operational discrepancies or safety hazards to senior team members immediately.
Troubleshoot Routine Handling Issues: Identify and resolve simple, repeated issues such as label discrepancies or minor packaging damage to prevent shipment offloads.
Maintain Operational Documentation: Accurately record shipment timestamps, ULD (Unit Load Device) positions, and flight manifests to ensure a "source of truth" for network tracking.
Support Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety and Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations during the handling process to ensure a secure and hazard-free working environment.
Requirements
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in air cargo operations, logistics, or ground handling. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in aviation logistics are encouraged to apply.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in cargo management systems and basic office software (Google Workspace). Familiarity with airway bill (AWB) processing and manifesting is a plus.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams across the network.
Shift Work: Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the Network Control Centre.
At Teleport, we’re all about creating a diverse and inclusive team where everyone feels valued. We believe that different perspectives make us stronger and help us do logistics better across Southeast Asia. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate what makes each of us unique. If you’re passionate about making a difference, we’d love to hear from you!
