Bring your MA skills directly to patients at home. We’re hiring a Maryland-based Medical Assistant to complete preventive-care visits while traveling to different U.S. markets based on coverage needs.
Quick Details
Location: Washington County, MD
Pay: $35/hour
Type: W-2 temporary/seasonal, non-exempt
Project: Expected through January 2027; extension is possible but not guaranteed
Hours: Generally scheduled for full-time hours, but actual hours may vary based on patient volume and assignment needs
Minimum: If there are not enough patients available in your area, the minimum guaranteed hours for that week is 20 hours
Schedule: Typically 8 AM–5 PM, either Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday depending on assignment
Travel: Nationwide across the U.S. based on business and patient coverage needs
Benefits: Temporary seasonal MAs are not eligible for benefits
What You’ll Do
Complete scheduled in-home member visits
Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities
Take vitals, complete screenings, and perform approved point-of-care testing such as A1Cs and UAs
Document visits accurately in the EMR/EHR
Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control procedures
Travel Expectations & Support
Home visits will start in Washington County, MD
Assignments can extend anywhere within the U.S. based on coverage needs
You should expect frequent travel, including extended and overnight assignments
Schedules are typically provided about two weeks ahead
Mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile between eligible patient visits
Required travel time is paid, including out-of-state travel and flights to and from assignments
Eligible travel expenses are covered, including transportation, flights when needed, rental car when needed, hotel, and meals
What You’ll Need
At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, credential, or equivalent qualification
Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current registration, and active auto insurance
Comfort working independently in patients’ homes
Ability to meet vaccination and TB/PPD onboarding requirements
Ability and willingness to travel anywhere within the U.S., including extended and overnight assignments
Nice to Have
Medicare Annual Wellness Visit or preventive-care experience
Home-visit, mobile-care, field-based, or community health experience
Experience with A1Cs, UAs, specimen collection, or similar point-of-care testing
