Your way into the future
Space electronics only work if they survive radiation. As our Radiation Engineer (m/f/x ) in our radiation team, you decide how our designs get there: you define the conditions, plan and run the tests and shape the design. You will work on industry leading optical communications terminals together with your colleagues.
What awaits you at Mynaric
Perform radiation simulations for space environment and determine radiation conditions to be met by our electronic designs.
Coordinate, prepare, supervise and/or execute component level and system level radiation tests (TID, Proton, Heavy Ion, etc.).
Coordinate radiation test facility bookings according to project needs, priorities, test plan, level of preparation and technical complexity.
Perform system and electronic board design reviews of complex electronic systems. Determine error mitigation strategies to improve radiation tolerance and overall resilience of systems.
Participate in project design reviews and technical proposals for cutting edge space technology products.
Compile documentation and test reports. Maintain relevant electronic parts databases.
What you bring with you
Professional experience as a mid-level or senior engineer in radiation effects on electronics, ideally for space applications
Understanding of space environment and radiation effects on electronic components and materials.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent degree/experience

Knowledge of Python or Matlab and/or LabView for data analysis and test automation,
Basic knowledge of FPGAs and microcontrollers.
Ability to take ownership, coordinate across disciplines and make well-founded decisions on complex trade-offsWillingness to travel at least 4 times per year in Europe for offsite testing.
Nice to have Familiarity with MIL-STD-883/750, MIL-HDBK-814 and/or ECSS equivalents.
